The new BZGames.de

Initially it was reported that BZGames.de was going to close due to a lack of time to maintain the site. But now it seems the site is going to stay after all. The site has a new look which looks great and a new backend used to run and maintain the webpage.

A few things have been updated since the new look such as an updated and revised version of their BeIDE Tutorial (English Translation) and a short report on Zeta Neo (English Translation).

That site, and indeed a fair few other Zeta sites seem to have an obsession with Simutrans, which is a cheap knockoff of Transport Tycoon with a bad BeOS port with no sound, music or even mouse syncing

They seem to ignore that the REAL Transport Tycoon Deluxe is ported to BeOS with SDL sound and video working fine, and native MIDI output…

Although it was ported by me and I’m not liked the best amongst Zeta circles…

But MYOB, there is an article on BZGames regarding OpenTTD that you ported here: http://www.bzgames.de/cms/readarticle.php?article_id=6. I didn’t translate the page or anything but I believe this is the same one that you ported. I haven’t yet had the chance to try OpenTTD for BeOS, hopefully I will though.

Hehe, I didn’t look well enough then.

I’ll admit I had taken slightly too much cheap Dutch beer last night

Its the same one I ported - only one other person has ever figured out how to make it build on BeOS, the jamfiles and makefiles don’t work right and need borking into action…

Also, the OTTD-BONE and OTTD-NS nomaculture is definately mine, and now that I remember it, it was ZeMAG that has a huge feature on Simutrans with no mention of OTTD…
