Blatantly stealing this story from The BeOS Journal, Steinberg has announced that they will be opening the source code to VSTGUI 2.3 and all later versions. VSTGUI is what allows various VST plug-ins to have a consistent interface across multiple platforms. Xentronix will be porting VSTGUI to BeOS/Zeta/OBOS/Etc. as part of their on going efforts to expand and update the available VST plug-ins available for BeOS. In related news, Xentronix has just released a new VSTi plug-in, the ZR3 Synth, which recreates some of the vintage sounds of electric drawbar organs. You can find more information on both over at Xentronix’s website.
