Be, Inc. just announced that Be’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Sakoman, has been appointed to the Be Board of Directors. He is replacing Christian Marchandise, who is leaving due to “time and logistical constraints of attending of attending Be’s board meetings” because he’s usually in Europe. Incorporated today announced the appointment of Steve
Sakoman, chief operating officer, to the company’s board of directors.
Be also announced the resignation of board member Christian
Marchandise.“Steve is an excellent addition to Be’s board of directors,'’
stated Jean-Louis Gassee, chairman and chief executive officer of Be.
“This move recognizes Steve’s key role in shaping and implementing
Be’s strategy of providing a complete solution for the new generation
of Internet-connected devices.'’As chief operating officer, Mr. Sakoman is responsible for the
company’s engineering, sales and marketing efforts for all its
products. He co-founded the company with Gassee after a distinguished
career with Hewlett Packard and Apple Computer, where he was director
of CPU development managing the Apple II and Macintosh hardware group.
Mr. Sakoman was also with Silicon Graphics, where he was the director
of the Consumer Products and Technologies Group.Christian Marchandise is stepping down as a company director due
to the time and logistical constraints of attending Be’s board
meetings resulting from his extensive European business ventures. “We

Both domains are owned by Steve Sakoman but Codycam is on www.sakoman.com I believe.
