BeGroovy does nothing to celebrate April Fools Day

BeGroovy, a leading BeOS portal site, shocked all three of its visitors by doing nothing unusual for April Fools Day. "BeGroovy? What is that?" replied a clearly shocked passerby when confronted with this news. We couldn’t agree more. Read on to learn all the sordid details that in no way fit what BeGroovy didn’t do.

"I find it hard to believe I didn’t do something for April Fools Day. I mean, it would really fit the tone of the site. I am quite shocked at myself." I reportedly said.

"I find it hard to believe they didn’t do something amazingly clever like announce the release of Internet Explorer 5.5 for BeOS, or the closure of Microsoft" said loyal BeGroovy reader, Be4Evr, "I mean, they could have said Microsoft was gonna buy Be and release BeOS as Windows 2002. That would have been great!"

When I pointed out to myself that this entire article negates itself as it not only qualifies as something, but also is an event about a non-event, I replied: "Huh? I thought posting news about things that didn’t happen was the latest fad. I just didn’t want to be left out." I then promptly shut up.

Other things BeGroovy could have done but didn’t include the classic "running-the-entire-site-through-a-filter-to-make-everything-appear-to-have-been-written-by-a -stereotypical-redneck-hillbilly" prank, and the "fake closure notice" ploy made famous by so many great sites in the past.

"Whatever," said me.

    I’m not really here.

I didn’t really reply to this story at all. This is all a dream.

It’s fake. It’s the windows mx compatibility list I think.

Now I’m confused - this is either a really good prank or sign of interesting things to oome. As usual, I expect the prank explanation to be the valid one :-(

I’m kind of curious if this is valid or not, I’m really gullable so I don’t know what to think :)

I know that some hardware that was suported in R5 is not on this list (looking at the current compatability list) so I’m guessing that this is a fake, how I wish this were true though as it lists my S3 SavageMX :(

    This is definitely fake

With the exception of the wording at the top, this list is exactly the same as the one at ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/services/whql/hcl/winxphclx86.txt
