How To Groove

On the Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable, one can download and install themes to personalize their consoles.  If you want to show your love for Haiku but don’t have the time to build your own Haiku theme, you are in luck.  Long time community member Serpentor has put together some pretty nice looking themes for both the PSP and PS3 and they are available at his website.  It looks like you can head straight to the themes page with your PSP or PS3 and download the themes directly to your console for instant use.  We have tested the themes and like the clean look and feel of them.  Great job Serpentor!

How To Groove

Not sure how many of y’all were able to get out to the Southern California Linux Expo but just in case you didn’t make it, Koki has a great blog entry about what happened.  It sounds like they had a good time and it would have been a great time for community members to get together and socialize.  All of these types of events are great opportunities for community members to show their support.  So, keep your eye on the Upcoming Events section at Haiku-OS.org and head out to some of these events with a Haiku shirt or hat on.  Hopefully, we will see a LOT of you there soon!

How To Groove

The Haiku Documentation Team is ramping up their efforts to put together the pages of information that would-be Haiku devs will use to learn about the Haiku API and would like some help.  So, if you are so inclined to help out Haiku Inc but are only good and writing, this may be the place for you to help out.

How To Groove

As I was clicking around the community, I realized how easy it is for folks to help out.  The answer is only a click away!  An excellent example of how to help can be found in this announcement over at the Haiku-OS forums.  Specifically this part “… has added Google Ads to the site. Please consider supporting the site - you know what to do.”  Many of the websites around the community have some form of advertising and I think it would be great if everyone took the couple of seconds it takes to click on an ad or two each time you visit the site or once a day or something.  It may not seem like much but it all adds up and it all helps out the community.  Now, if I could just convince Deej to throw some ads up here, we might be able to say “thanks!” to him for all the effort he as put into the community throughout the years!
